6.1.3. Air removal from a hydraulic actuator of brakes
|
Fig. 6.5. Tank filling with brake liquid
|
Uncover a tank of a hydraulic actuator of brakes and fill a tank with brake liquid (fig. 6.5).
ATTENTION
At hit of brake liquid on the painted surfaces immediately wipe the spilled liquid.
|
NOTE
Do not press a brake pedal when pumping brake system under pressure.
|
Connect a transparent vinyl hose to the union for pumping of a support of a disk brake or the working brake cylinder of a drum-type brake. Lower the free end of a hose in capacity with pure brake liquid.
Several times press a brake pedal.

Fig. 6.6. Air removal from a hydraulic actuator of brakes
|
Holding a pedal in completely pressed situation, weaken the union for pumping till the beginning of an effluence of brake liquid. Then tighten the union for pumping (fig. 6.6).
Repeat pumping until vials of air will not stop to appear together with brake liquid.
Tighten the union for pumping.
The moment of an inhaling of the union for pumping: 7–13 N · m.
