4.2.2. Dismantling, check and assembly of an amortizatorny rack

By means of a flat screw-driver remove a protective cap of a rack.

By means of the special tool (J38402, A-42) compress a rack spring so that impact on cups of a spring was minimum (fig. 4.19).

NOTE
Do not apply the pneumatic tool (shock гайковерт).

Unscrew a nut of the top end of a rod of the shock-absorber.
Remove a dempfiruyushchy support of a rack, the top cup of a spring, a spring and a protective cover from a forward rack assembled.

Check
Check the bearing of a dempfiruyushchy support of a rack on lack of wear or damage.
Check rubber details on absence of damages or deterioration of a technical condition.
Check a spring on lack of wear or deformation (a prosedaniye and decrease in rigidity).

Check the shock-absorber on lack of abnormal resistance to moving of a rod and extraneous noise (fig. 4.20).

Rack utilization
Put forward a shock-absorber rod against the stop.

Drill an opening in a place noted "And" in drawing 4.21, and let out gas from the shock-absorber.

ATTENTION
In itself gas is harmless, however at its exit from an opening the shaving which has remained after drilling therefore be careful can take off.

Establish the bottom pro-rate of a spring so that ledges on it were combined with openings in the bottom cups of a spring (fig. 4.22).
Establish a protective cover on the shock-absorber.
By means of the special tool (J38402, A-42) compress a spring.
After complete compression of a spring establish it on the shock-absorber.

NOTE
Establish a spring so that the identification label was located from a rotary fist.

Put forward a shock-absorber rod against the stop, establish the top cup of a spring and a dempfiruyuushchy support of a rack assembled (fig. 4.23).

NOTE
Combine a flat part of a D-shaped opening of the top cup of a spring from a lysky bezrezbovy part of a rod of the shock-absorber.

Combine the top and bottom rounds of a spring with the corresponding dredging on the top and bottom cups of a spring of a rack, then temporarily tighten самоконтрящуюся a nut (fig. 4.24).
Remove the special tool.
Tighten самоконтрящуюся a nut the nominal moment of 50-70 N · m.
Put the specified greasing on the bearing of a dempfiruyushchy support of a rack and establish a protective cap.

ATTENTION
Be careful when drawing greasing, do not allow hit it on a rubber part of a dempfiruyushchy support.

Recommended greasing: MS511-11 or equivalent.
