Check correctness of landing of a belt in flutes of pulleys (fig. 2.91).
Make effort of 100 N the reverse (non-working) side of a belt in the middle of a branch between two pulleys. Measure a belt deflection by means of a tension measuring instrument.

ATTENTION
At installation of a poliklinovy belt be convinced of correctness of landing of racetracks of a belt in flutes of pulleys.
If at work the belt "squeals" or slips, check surfaces of contact to pulleys and a pulley on lack of wear, damage or stratification. Besides, check degree of a tension of a belt.

NOTE
The tension of a belt is measured in the middle of a branch of a belt between the specified pulleys.
At installation of a new belt adjust a tension so that it corresponded to average value from an admissible range in a column «for a new belt» tables 2.11. After installation of a belt let's to the engine work during 5 минили more long, then check compliance of a tension of a belt to nominal rate from a column «at check» tables 2.11.
At adjustment of the belt which was in operation or the new belt which has worked on the engine more than 5 mines, use the nominal rates specified in a column «for the belt which was in operation» tables 2.11.
At periodic check of a tension of a belt use the nominal rates specified in a column «at check» tables 2.11.

Do not allow a contact the dial of a measuring instrument something at performance of measurements (fig. 2.93).

At performance of measurements turn the RESET handle in the direction specified by an arrow, and establish the index in the situation "RESET".

If a measuring instrument of a tension to remove from a belt, the index remains in the situation corresponding to value of a tension. Consider indications after removal of a measuring instrument of a tension (fig. 2.94).
